a few weeks later...the vision in both eyes had improved significantly.
Health issues: Macular degeneration (CSCR), shortsighted (myopia)
In the Autumn of 2007, I noticed a dark spot in the central vision of my left eye. I asked an optician for advice & he referred me to a consultant at the hospital. I was shocked to be diagnosed with CSCR, a type of macular degeneration - similar to 'wet' age-related macular degeneration (AMD) usually found in much older people.
After a few tests the consultant discharged me saying that the condition may worsen & that there was nothing else they could do for me.
I first learnt about Ceragem from friends in Switzerland in April 2008, before Ceragem came to the UK. About a month later I went to stay with the friends and experienced Ceragem at their local Centre in Thun. I was amazed at how welcoming the staff were, & to hear testimonials from people about how much Ceragem had helped them. They suggested that I place a face cloth over my eyes & rest the jade external projector on top for a couple of minutes at a time, during the 40 minute session. I felt the heat going deep, & an odd, slightly uncomfortable 'pulling' sensation at the back of my eyes. Overall, the first session was quite an experience, especially as the jade roller moved up & down my spine! The staff & my friends helped a lot by encouraging me to breathe deeply & relax as much as possible to allow the Ceragem to do its work.
I visited the centre every day - Ceragem became top priority. After about a dozen sessions, I noticed that the dark spot in my left eye had changed shape & I felt different sensations at the back of my eyes during the sessions. Then, gradually over the following weeks, the spot began to shrink. I was so delighted & even more motivated to continue the Ceragem treatment.
By the time I came to leave Switzerland, a few weeks later, the spot had shrunk to almost nothing & the vision in both eyes had improved significantly (I used to need to wear glasses for long distance). It was like a miracle & such great news, especially after the gloomy prognosis from the eye consultant. I became so passionate about Ceragem & strongly wished to help other people benefit from it. My sister, Julie, was excited about helping others too and, after months preparing, with lots of help from the rest of the family, we opened the centre in Preston in November 2008.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for Ceragem!!!
